The world of optometry has changed drastically over the years and at Bill Opticians we believe that a standard eye test, once every other year is not the best approach to looking after the health of your eyes. We are constantly investing in the most up to date equipment so your eye examination will be more accurate than ever before.

Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) allows us to not only photograph the back of your eye but also give a 3D cross section of the layers behind the retinal surface. This provides us with an exact and permanent record of your retinal health and also helps us detect and diagnose certain sight threatening conditions earlier than can be achieved with a routine sight test.

Retinal Photography provides a photograph the back of your eye so that an exact and permanent record of your retinal health can be achieved. This allows us to monitor any future changes with an amazing degree of accuracy.

As well as using equipment to look after the health of your eyes we have also invested in instruments to ensure that your glasses are as effective as possible. The Essilor Visioffice is an exceptional optical measuring system that considers the anatomy and positioning of the eye, the patients posture and chosen frames. Rather than just relying on the optical prescription, these factors combined with eleven unique measurements for each eye, allows us to have bespoke, individual lenses manufactured so that the patient can achieve the clearest vision possible.

It is all very well having the latest equipment, but it needs to be used by practitioners who understand the technology. All our practitioners are highly experienced so when you have your eyes examined by us, both the equipment and the opticians using it are of the highest standard.
